On 14th May 2013, The Puri Agung Ubud will be hosting an elaborate
cremation ceremony. The community is currently preparing for this
prestigious event by building a funeral tower & sarchophagus. The
body of the deceased will be carried in a procession to the cremation
grounds in decorative funeral tower, known as Bade.
As the cremation site, the body will then be transferred into a life sized bull sarcophagus, which will be burnt to facilitate the journey of the deceased's soul into the afterlife.
In some other way, since this is a cremation of a member of the royal family, Naga Banda is also built and will be take a part on the procession.
